Austin Macauley was kind enough to build an English website for my book Mary Copeland – Victorian Detective Book One. You are now on that site. From time to time AM posts a blog or newsfeed provided by me. However, I have had a Dutch website for much longer.
In the Netherlands, at the same time as part five of the Mary Copeland series was published, my new website was launched. I had a website since the mid-nineties, mainly for my children’s books. The old website also looked very aimed at children. In schools, where I often came to promote my children’s books, that website was often used. In those early days of websites, it was a lot of pioneering work and slowly but surely the website grew into an inscrutable labyrinth. Nice for people who like to search, but actually more and more unclear. In addition to the increasing amount of books, editorial work and other writings of my hand, there was also room for musical projects, drawings and even reflections in the form of articles. If you want to wander around again, you can do so by clicking on the link to archive in my new website. Everything is still there, except the drawings and the music.
My new website is much clearer. Since I don’t understand a thing – and don’t want to – about creating and maintaining a website, it was built by Nick Vinke and in consultation with Hans Overvliet, for which many thanks. Both are currently maintaining the website. It is of course in Dutch, so the real diehard will have to translate it (using copy and paste) via Google translate. There is also a short English version. Click on the flag and it will appear. This is the link to my new website: www.robbertjanswiers.nl.
With kind regards,
Robbert Jan.
